Jonathan Wallenbeck is the Senior Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Sedalia, MO. He previously served as Associate Pastor of Youth/Family Ministry before the retirement of Pastor Dr. Don Saterwhite. His other ministry engagements include serving as a consultant and associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Leeton, Leeton, MO. He has also served as the pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Deepwater, MO.   He helped plant Grace Community Church in Windsor, MO, where he also served as associate pastor, youth pastor, adult Sunday School Teacher, and played bass with Pillars of Grace, among many other things. It was here at Grace that he was ordained into Gospel Ministry. He was the youth director at Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor, MO, where he was ordained as a deacon. 
He is married to Sybil; they have been married for 39 years. They have 2 children: Shauna, 38, who is married to Mike Lee, and they live in Lowry City, MO. Between them, they have 5 children, giving Jonathan and Sybil 5 Grandchildren, 3 granddaughters (ages 18, 15, 10), and 2 step-grandsons (ages 21, 18).  Their son, James, is 36 and married to Rachel; they live in Omaha, NE, with their son (age 6), our grandson, giving us a total of 6 grandchildren. They have also been blessed with a great-granddaughter who is 3 years old.
Jonathan loves people, getting to know them, and preaching the Word of God. His desire is to see people’s lives changed for the Kingdom of God. To see families worship God together, to see young people understand the Word of God for themselves, and to see the Church love the community the way Christ loves the church.
The Apostle John says in 1 John 5.13, “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” That is my desire for everyone to know that they have eternal life.​

AWANA starts on the first Wednesday after Labor Day and is for children in PreK-6th Grade. They meet at 6:00 p.m. We ask that parents arrive early so their children do not miss any of the fun.

Calvary CREW  is for youth in grades 7th thru 12th. They meet: Sunday Morning for Sunday School at 8:50 a.m., Sunday night for Sunday Night Live at 5:00 p.m., and Wednesday Night at 6:00 p.m. for Calvary CREW.

Christian Campus Connection (C3) is an outreach ministry at State Fair Community College. This organization meets to help students understand how they can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their peers.
